About Artist /

Pauel Arc is a self-taught visual artist. Photography, oil and crayon - he works with versatile media.

He creates visually simple and graphic, but surrealistic and symbolic artworks with complexity and depth in it. Like his favorite authors Edward Hopper and Andrew Wyeth the artist invites us to find out the story behind the image. “I find it interesting to discover elements of eternal in ordinary things “, told Pauel.

Struggling many years with clinical depression Pauel use his art as a cure and as a tool to struggle with illness. The artist mastered to transfer internal fears, uncertainty and tensions to the canvas.

After spending decades in megapolices, now Pauel is living in the virgin nature of Finland. An introvert by nature, he enjoys loneliness, silence, cold still water and melancholy.
